Any organization applying for 2019 Safety Net Funding MUST have a program that falls within one or more of UWSWV’s Safety Net Services as identified below:
-Safe Shelter
-Disaster Services
-Food
-Clothing
-Personal Care Items
-Prescription Medication
-Financial Assistance
Requested funding must be for one or more of the counties in the United Way of Southern West Virginia (UWSWV) service area – Raleigh, Fayette, Nicholas, Summers, Mercer, McDowell, Wyoming Counties or the town of Bluefield, Virginia.
Funding CANNOT be requested for salary or employee benefits.
